We recently sat down with Mr. Tsaousis to discuss his passion for our industry and perfumes, and to get some indications on the olfactory market in Greece.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

C<\/em>an you describe your experience with Scent Company and the olfactory\nprojects you have already completed in the Greek market?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing Scent Company in Greece is an\nexciting experience in the world of perfumes.
\nThe response of the Greek market has been very enthusiastic and we completed\nmany interesting projects, including hotels, spas and retail stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Five star Aqua Luxury Suiteslocated\nin Santorini Island, which was recently announced as Europe\u2019s Luxury hotel of\nthe year 2019, trusted our proposals by adding a Talco relaxing scent to their\nlobby. Furthermore, they completed the scenting experience with a full\namenities collection for all suites. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hotel\nFresh in Athens is another client who trusted Scent\nCompany\u2019s services for their signature scents. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two new projects are in progress for al2, a design brand offering unique,\nhigh-end furniture and also for Matt\nRoyal,a handcrafted\nmattresses company with two stores in Thessaloniki \u2013 Greece and two in Saudi\nArabia, Jeddah and Riyadh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the competitive landscape in Greece and\nhow is the olfactory branding  perceived?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We recently noticed an increasing interest by entrepreneurs interested\nin strengthening their brand by adding a signature scent. This definitely gave\nus confidence that the market is ready to recognize the importance of olfactory\nbranding and the related scent memory that lasts more than any other sense.

\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are some other companies that offer\nscent solutions in our country. But we found in Scent Company the best partner,\nwho is able to offer complete solutions and be competitive on every level. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Smell really is transporting. Seeing, heating,\ntouching, tasting are just not as powerful as smelling, if you want to go back to\na specific memory. What is your personal relationship with smell and perfumes?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perfumes always challenged me to find a\nstory behind them. Since I was a child, I was attracted to the smell of books. Every\nbook for me had its own special smell, sometimes it reminded me of wood,\nbiscuit or shutter. I was reacting to the different scents: my father\u2019s newspapers,\nmy comics, the books of the library or the books after the summer vacations\nsmelling of sunscreen. I just recently read an article of British researchers\nsupporting that the smell of a book can reveal the where, when and how it was\ncreated and if and where it travelled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is\nthere a place in the world you particularly like the smell of?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once I travelled to Tenerife and I found\nmyself in a small village called Erjos. I will never forget that special smell\nof pure fresh air mixed with the fragrance of tagasaste trees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\nis your first ever olfactory memory?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My first olfactory memory was the smell of thyme in Cyclades. Floating land, the\nland of Cyclades, squeezing between two, nodding herbs smells, that the Aegean\nwind stirs with the sea salt. It was only then, when I first visited Mykonos at\nthe age of ten that the smell of thyme was so intense, that now it still tickles\nmy nose and take me back there wherever I smell it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there a smell you\ncannot live without?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I can\u2019t live without the smell of the sea\nwind mixed with sea salt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an entrepreneur,\nwhat does perfume represent to you?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To me perfume represents the key to enhance\ninterior spaces. Decades ago, architects considered lighting a luxury. Today, it\nis a central design element.
\nNow, we can clearly see the new trend. The use of perfumes is gaining ground. Scent marketing is more than a\nnice perfume in a space. A perfume has the ability to influence behaviors and\nto turn on memories instantly. The result can only be happy clients remembering\nyour brand for longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is there a smell that particularly\nrepresents Athens and the city where you live and were born?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Althoughjasminecomes from China, some of its\nvarieties travelled to us from the Arabian countries to give us a taste of 1000\nand 1 nights. Jasmine has become one of the most beloved plants of the Greek\ngardens. I was born and have grown up in Athens, and I dare to say thatjasmine withhoneysuckle could easily represent my\nhometown. Its traditional neighborhood either in\nPlaka or in north\/south outdoor cinemas, bring us back to sweet summer nights.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
